Fees are pre-filled with standard US published rates for 2026 and are fully editable. Rates vary by country, account type, card, and — for cross-border payments — currency conversion, which isn't included here. Enter the exact rates for your situation and the totals are calculated precisely from those numbers.

Questions, answered.

How does this calculator work?
You enter the invoice amount and each provider's fee — a percentage plus a fixed per-transaction fee. The tool then computes exactly what you keep for each one: fee = amount × percent + fixed, and you keep the remainder. Because you supply the rates, the result is precise for your exact account and region.
Where do the default rates come from?
The fields are pre-filled with standard published US rates for 2026 — Stripe at 2.9% + $0.30 and PayPal goods & services at 3.49% + $0.49, with Wise and bank transfer set to zero because receiving in the same currency is typically free. Edit any field to match your own account, card type, or country.
Why isn't currency conversion included?
Conversion fees change daily and depend on the exact currency pair and provider, so building them in would produce a number that's only ever an approximation. Instead, add any conversion cost into the percentage field yourself to keep the result exact.
How does FileDue's fee compare?
FileDue processes payments through Stripe, so the processing fee matches the Stripe row, plus a small platform fee. The point of FileDue isn't cheaper processing — it's that the client pays before they can download the files, so you're not delivering work and then chasing payment.

Fees are only half the story — the bigger risk is delivering the work and then waiting to be paid. FileDue runs on Stripe, but the client pays before they can download the files.
